[The video kicks in, showing a young blond man who’s looking mildly amused.]
All right, guys, while it is pretty awesome that you’ve somehow pulled off getting me here without me knowing, this particular prank is really not funny. I’m disappointed in you, I know you guys can do much better. So just give me the kill code for this program now, and maybe you won’t have to fear retaliation. Maybe.
[There’s silence for a brief moment, as Bobby gives in and admits that, no, this isn’t the kind of thing his friends would pull. Not so soon after Alcatraz. Another prank, sure, but not one like this. His smile fades a bit, and when he speaks again, he sounds more subdued.]
If the world’s been unmade, does that mean all the people on it were, too? Cause, uh, I’ve seen people being unmade, and it didn’t look fun. Or reversible. How are you putting it right? Will everything that was unmade be back, even if it’s been a little while? And if you’re making our homes new, are they going to be the same as they were before, or can we request a few changes?
[He’s not really serious about that last part. Nice as it would be, he’s not the one who should be deciding things like that. No one should, really. This whole thing makes him nervous. He’s seen what can happen when people have that kind of power.]
Ro? Kitty? Logan, Pete?
[There are too many names that should be on that list that aren’t, but now’s not the time to think about that.]
Anyone else here?

I don't believe that everything is gone--whether you come from the same place I do or not. I-I don't know what it w-would be like, to see p-people being unmade, but I haven't heard of anything like that here. This place is full of its own batch of secrets and mystery, however.
I'll help in any way I can. It's not too hard to make friends here, at the very least.
[There's a sage nod, there. Of course, this is coming from the guy who might as well have been the welcoming committee back at his school.]
It wouldn't surprise me, either way. It's possible, but so are a million other reasons for getting kidnapped. Besides, you're never supposed to just trust what the all powerful guy tells you. Hasn't he seen any movies? Where are you from, anyway?
[He just. Doesn't touch the people being unmade thing. It's not pleasant, and if she hasn't seen it, he's glad.]
That's not surprising, either. What's castle without secrets and mysteries? Especially one that apparently didn't get unmade along with the rest of the universe and is a good holding grounds for whoever got 'rescued.'
[The castle he lives at is better. Probably has better secrets and mysteries, too. But he doesn't mention that, because, uh, he's realized he's started rambling.]
How many people are here?
I know, right? The movies are perfect examples of what not to do, filled with heroes and heroines you do not want to be. I'm from Buffalo, by the way. What about you?
Another good point. Keep them coming. [She's grinning again.] There's something about old houses or castles that just beg to be searched over with a fine toothed comb.
To that, I don't know. Quite a few, but no where near a hundred. You know... we should probably do a head count or roll call some time. That way it'll be more obvious when people go missing for a month. [A bit of dry humor to her tone, here.]
Not that he isn't going to do his best to figure out what the hell is going on and how he's getting out of there, but there's no need to whine about getting kidnapped to people who, uh. Have been, too.]
Exactly! I swear, none of them have ever seen movies, either. There's only so many times you can shout at the screen before their refusal to acknowledge your advice gets discouraging. And, hey, cool! Westchester. Same state, at least. Uh, assuming you meant Buffalo, New York.
[She gets a grin as well at her comment about him making good points.]
Yeah, I make them occasionally. I'm gonna have to start pacing myself, though, or I'll use them all up. But yeah, all the castles I've ever seen have definitely been of the screaming 'I've got secrets' type.
[And then he pauses, brows furrowing slightly.]
Missing for a month? Does that happen often around here?
Yes, I mean Buffalo, New York. I've moved around a lot, though. I wonder if we've gone to the same school at one point. [She also wonders if he's a supernatural, but she's not saying that aloud.]
[And she's laughing lightly, shaking her head and painfully reminded of Simon. Then his words capture her attention and her brows shoot up.] Been to many castles? Or do you mean movies, again?
Ah... supposedly if you venture down into the tunnels beneath the keep, yes. I would advise against it until you know more, though. [She pulls a face, grimacing at that bit.]
It really doesn't. It usually doesn't do anything but get me told to shut up.
As awesome as that would have been, probably not. I went to elementary school in Boston, and then I went to a boarding school.
[And he knows all the students there.]
I've been to a few! My school was in a sort of castle, actually, and I've been on tours. They get cranky at you when you sneak away to discover the secrets of the castle, though.
I have a feeling trying to figure out this place's secrets is going to meet with a lot more resistance than displeased tour guides.
[He nods at her advice.]
Avoid the creepy tunnels until further notice, check. I'm really good with not wandering around underground for a month.
[No, he doesn't know if they're creepy or not. He's just assuming chances are they are.]
[A light shrug.] Worth a shot, right?
[And she's laughing again.] I know how that goes--but it wasn't a castle, it was an old house. And you're probably right. [Speaking from previous experience.}
The hero has a brain. Cue evil mad scientist running through dark hallways, screaming in terror.

[Pout.]

Except people who happen to suck at English and are much better at figuring out equations than cryptic writing.

Oh, man, there's medieval clothing, too? Is that required, or can we opt out?
...actually, that kind of is groovy. Of course, guys got to wear awesome things that didn't include giant skirts and corsets, so I'm probably at an advantage there.
...But I'm not putting on a corset.
[Considering, uh. It's not like he had a change of clothes on him when he got here.]
There's corset-free options! You could dress like a guy. It'd be scandalous!
Exactly - I always wondered about that. Do they not like, have time to go change?
[Yeah Raven didn't either.]
Ooh, I could start a revolution or something.

[Actually seeing it sounds awful.]
Yeah. Kind of. But there were extenuating circumstances. It wasn't like it was something that happened every day.
[Audio]
I haven't seen it. But I know it can be put right again.
[That she has seen.]
Yeah? So it is possible, then, restoring things that have been unmade? I've only ever seen the unmaking part.
[Audio]
I don't know how it happens, or what we can do.
[Or if they can do anything. Somehow she doubts that they can.]
But it's happened before.
My islands were destroyed, and then they came back.
It's at least something to know it can happen.
[There's a brief pause.]
Even the people?
