[Bobby's outside, holding the journal facing towards him with one hand and tossing a snowball with the other.]
I promise this is not my fault! I had absolutely nothing to do with this.
[Not that anyone except for maybe two people would have any reason to suspect him. But he's too used to having to give a disclaimer every time snow comes when it probably shouldn't have.]
But since it is here and awesome, I am totally taking advantage of it.
Does anyone like ice skating? Someone go skating with me, guys!
[There's a pause as he throws the snowball high up into the air and lets it fall back to the ground.]
Or if we can get enough people, I am all in for a game of snow capture the flag.
[It is SNOWING, and Bobby is the happiest mutant ever right now. Reply here or come bug him outside? He's wandering around all over, so if it's some place outside, feel free to run into him there.]

[Commentlog]
It's awesomely great.
[And then his smile slips the smallest bit.]
Oh. That - really sucks. We shouldn't have to hide.
[He pauses.]
It's like that a little in my world, too. I mean, people know about us, and not everyone hides, but some people find it easier to. Which, yeah, I understand. It's not like I go broadcasting it everywhere back home. I just wish we could.
But apparently it's like that on a lot of worlds. I know another girl who lives in a world where she has to hide, too, because most people don't know about them.
[Commentlog]
[She looks down at the tips of her boots, avoiding his eyes.]
Some of us have to hide all the time - because we look so different. [She was poking at dangerous ground, here. Wasn't she? But she liked Bobby - he got it, shouldn't she show him the real her?
No. No way. No.]
Not many people know about us, either. [Not yet anyway.] That's too bad.
[Commentlog]
It's like that for some of my friends back home. It sucks. Treating people different just because of the way they look - ugh. I don't get it. You'd think people would have learned.
[Of course, he's completely oblivious to the fact that she's not just talking about people she knows, like he is.]
Well. At least in my world, people are learning. Even if they are doing it pretty slowly.
[But they do have a mutant ambassador, so that's a plus. Then he grimaces slightly and stands, offering her a hand up.]
Sorry. I didn't mean to turn fun ice skating time into 'Bobby rants about things' time.
[Commentlog]
Yeah, it definitely sucks. But I'm glad that in your world people are learning.
[At home, they don't even know she exists yet.
She holds her hands up to him and pulls herself up, making sure she's steady before letting go.]
It's okay - I mean, hey, you found out that I'm even more awesome than you, right? [The twinkle in her eye is back as she teases, letting go of him to skate out a little ways.]
[Commentlog]
It's something, at least.
[Bobby smiles as she takes his hands, and is definitely not at all opposed to her holding on to them longer to steady herself. Then he laughs at her comment, delighted.]
I would protest that, but I just don't think I can. But hey, if I had to be out-awesomed by someone, I'm glad it was you.
[Commentlog]
And that's obviously me, right? I mean, I can take any--woops--
[Ice, yes, Raven - it is slippery. Do watch out. She flails a little before she catches her balance, laughing.]
[Commentlog]
[He skates closer to her at her flail, ready to catch her if she loses her balance, but she seems all right, so he laughs as well.]
You even slip awesomely.
[He's just going to. Skate right next to her now, though. Just in case.]
[Commentlog]
I know, I'm a creature of elegance, right?
[Obviously, Raven.
Still, she's not too bad, though she hasn't done this in a while so she's not too great.]
[Commentlog]
On and off the ice.
[He grins at her.]
Did you have cold winters where you're from, or are you another one of those poor people who never got snow?
[Commentlog]
No, we definitely had snow. I grew up in Westchester, New York. Heard of it? It used to get pretty cold there.
[Definitely casually holding his arm.]
[Commentlog]
Heard of it? Yeah! I live there now, actually. How cool is that? You're the second person I've met from New York, and you're even in the same city as me!
[Which didn't mean they were from the same world; Chloe hadn't been. But it was still cool.
And yeah, he's not protesting the arm holding at all. He shifts slightly, reaching over to equally casually place his hand over hers.]
[Commentlog]
Really? [She blinks at him, kind of astonished but really distracted by the fact that he put his hand over hers.]
That’s pretty groovy, actually – maybe we’ve like, run into each other and never even knew it. [Of course, that’s impossible because she’s from the sixties, but…whatever.]
I even bet –
[Whatever she was going to say was COMPLETELY lost, however, because her footing, it is gone and she’s hitting the ice now and you might just be going down with her, Bobby.]
[Commentlog]
The best he can do is shift, putting himself between her and the ice, so that, hopefully, she land on top of him instead of smacking into the ice itself.]
[Commentlog]
What she does not expect is for Bobby to move like that and instead of ice, she finds herself atop him instead of on the ice.
...Well.]
[Commentlog]
Oh.]
...hi.
[Oh, yeah, that's real smooth, Bobby.]
Um. Are you okay?
[Commentlog]
It's a good position, okay?]
...Hi.
[..OH RIGHT they fell.]
Um, yeah - I'm okay. Are you? [He would be the one that planter the hardest. She sort of tries to peer around him to see.]
[Commentlog]
When his sort of lame greeting is returned, his smile grows a bit.
And then oh yeah, he remembers to make sure she's all right.]
Yeah. Nothing too bad, I think, I managed to ice up a bit before I hit.
[Commentlog]
...You sure?
[Reaching around to test that - she is failing to see how ice can help break a fall. Maybe a leg...but a fall?]
[Commentlog]
I think so.
[Bobby shifts a bit to make it easier for her to reach around. He's iced over the skin of his back, under his shirt, so if she's touches, she'll be able to feel the cold.]
I can ice over my skin - sort of like a shield, so it protects me from impact.
[Not as well as his ice form does, but he hasn't quite managed only turning select parts of his body into ice yet. It's easier to just ice over a smaller area.]
[Commentlog]
...Wow.
[She grins at him.]
That's so cool. [No pun untended.]
[Commentlog]
He grins back.]
Thanks. It definitely comes in handy.
[Commentlog]
I can see why. [Her flirting is failing a little cause hi - still sitting on cute boy, here!]
You're trying to take my awesome title away, I think.
[Commentlog]
And also, she's sitting on top of him. That's, uh. Pretty distracting.
He grins at her.]
Of course I am. I have to keep trying, even if there's very little chance of success.
[Commentlog]
Oh, I dunno. I think you’re pretty awesome. [Super awesome, in fact – anyone with a mutation is pretty incredible in Raven’s book, but there’s something about Bobby that she really digs, moreso than Hank, even.]
